Relief for Diabetes
Here’s an exciting piece of news from the Obama administration. The Obama administration. The House of Representatives passed via a voice vote a resolution granting more funding for diabetes research. This development has evaded the media lately because of more urgent matters besetting the Obama administration but we know that research for diabetes is equally important.
The bad news is that this resolution is not a binding one because it is not a bill to be signed into law, it simply is a resolution. The resolution asks to double the current funding for diabetes Type 1 research from $433 million to $866 million by 2010 and beyond. We’ll just hope this research gains ground.
